We're delighted that you're interested in our online shop. Protecting your privacy is very important to us. Below, we inform you about the collection, processing and use of your data in connection with our website, our online services and our business processes, always in compliance with the applicable data protection laws, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Access Data and Hosting

You can visit our website without providing any personal information. Each time our website is accessed, access data is automatically collected and stored in so-called server log files. This includes, for example, the IP address, date and time of access, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider. This data is necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the website and to optimise our offering (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). All access data is deleted after 30 days at the latest.

Our website is hosted via Shopify, which is hosted on a US server.

2. Data Collection and Use for Contract Processing

We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order, when opening a customer account or when contacting us. The data processed includes:

  • Contact details (e.g. name, email address, phone number)
  • Delivery addresses
  • Payment information (e.g. credit card details, bank account details)
  • Order history and contract information

This data is used for contract processing, including order processing and delivery, as well as for handling your enquiries (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). After the contract has been fully processed or your customer account has been deleted, your data will be blocked and deleted once the statutory retention periods have expired, unless you have consented to further use.

3. Data Sharing

For contract processing, we pass your data on to the following service providers:

  • Shipping service providers: In Switzerland, fulfilment is handled by the arwo Stiftung (Wettingen, Switzerland); in Europe, by KDG Holding GmbH (Elbigenalp, Austria).
  • Payment service providers: PayPal, Stripe, Shopify Payments and TWINT for payment processing. Depending on the payment provider, these may collect your payment data themselves. The respective privacy policies of the payment service providers apply.
  • ERP system: Your data is transferred from Shopify via Zapier to our ERP system from bexio (Rapperswil, Switzerland), where it is stored for processing your orders and fulfilling accounting obligations.

4. Email Marketing and Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we use your email address to send you regular information about our products and offers, based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, e.g. via the link in the newsletter or by sending a message to info@drinkpure-waterfitler.com.

Our newsletter is sent via the service provider MailChimp, which is based in the USA. Data is transferred on the basis of standard contractual clauses to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

5. Cookies and Web Analytics

We use cookies on our website to make your visit more attractive and to enable certain functions. Cookies are also used to analyse user behaviour and to optimise our marketing. Consent to the use of non-essential cookies is given via our cookie banner (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

The cookies used include:

  • Google Ads and Google Analytics: For remarketing and web analytics. Data is transferred to the USA using standard contractual clauses and with IP anonymisation enabled.
  • Facebook Pixel: For targeted advertising on social networks.
  • Microsoft Ads: For targeted advertising in search engines.

6. Social Media and Third-Party Providers

We maintain online presences on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube to communicate with customers and interested parties. When you visit these pages, the privacy policies of the respective platform operators apply.

7. WhatsApp Communication

We use WhatsApp to communicate with our customers. Your contact details are not stored permanently, and chat histories are deleted regularly. Please note that WhatsApp transfers personal data to the USA and stores it on servers there. WhatsApp is used on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). 8. Retention Periods

We only store personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the respective purposes. Order data and related information are stored in our ERP system for 10 years to comply with statutory accounting and tax obligations.

You have the following rights regarding the processing of your personal data:

  • Right to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
